Our Property Reports

Purchasing a property is a major investment and not a decision that you should take lightly. Getting a building and pest inspection from an experienced and licenced inspector is one of the most important steps in the property buying process, and failing to do so could result in a costly mistake.

At Twin Cities Building & Pest Inspections we understand that your time is precious and that you may require a building and pest inspection on a prospective property as soon as possible to meet important contract conditions and deadlines.

We aim to get in touch with you to book your inspection in as soon as possible upon receiving your booking request. Once our fully licensed and insured building and pest inspectors investigate your property, we can email you a comprehensive property report that very same day if required. We can also post or fax the reports if requested.

We also invite you to attend during the inspection so that our inspectors can point out any areas of concern and answer any queries you may have.

Townsville Inspection Services:

Building Inspections

Our qualified inspectors will thoroughly examine the overall structure and condition of the property, inspecting all accessible areas including external and internal walls, the roof, under the house, the ceiling and floors and around the exterior such as fencing, driveways, garden sheds and other external buildings. Your detailed report will cover all major and minor defects or potential areas of concern.

Termite / Pest Inspections

Termites and timber pests can cause major structural damage to a home and often go undetected for years – and by then the damage has already been done! Termites in particular thrive in our warm, humid climate and for this reason, many older homes will show evidence of termite activity. Getting a termite inspection is key in determining whether any damage exists and where, as well as whether previous termite management programs are evident.

Handover Reports

Many people think a brand new home doesn’t require a building inspection but getting a handover Inspection or Practical Completion Inspection (PCI) on a new property is essential! Your inspector will thoroughly check the new home for any defects and evidence or poor workmanship, which you can then take to the builder to rectify. Depending on the report findings, you may even be able to negotiate a better price of the property.

Termite Treatments

If termites or evidence of termite activity is found on your property, ask us about installing an effective termite treatment to prevent any further damage from occuring. Our treatments include physical barriers and chemical barriers and are highly effective in preventing these pests from causing more damage.

Pest Control Services

Pests are very common in our region and getting an annual pest treatment is the best way to keep them at bay. Ask about our regular pest control services for cockroaches, silverfish, spiders and household ants.
